Here's why I think you're wrong Jim... and you are normally right on... USF dominated UCF in all facets... BC struggled against Notre Dame (and the voters no its not the Notre Dame of old). OU took down Missouri... but our win was too convincing to move a one-loss team ahead of us. The cards are falling in place... Mark my word though... it will be an OU-USF National Championship... look at the schedules... Michigan is playing great and will knock off OSU. And seriously... BC has the toughest schedule in America ahead of them besides maybe Arizona State from here on out.

1/3 of the BCS is computers. I have no doubt we will be #1 in most of them. So, that will greatly help our cause. I can see us being #2 with a Cal loss.

First, I think if USF wins out it is becoming very likely for USF to be #1 or #2 in the BCS...

Second, I think USF might be #2 in the BCS rankings because of our probably #1 position in the Computer Polls...

Third, the remember coaches had USF and Oklahoma "tied" -- both played at home... Mizzouri was a Top 20 team, but UCF is a bottom 20 team...  So I think the coaches will put OU ahead of USF...  same with Harris voters.

Finally, BC did struggle, but they were on the road and Notre Dame has been playing better.  A lot of voters will give BC some credit there... USF's win wasn't enough to push us ahead of BC in the human polls.

So, the coaches and Harris voters will put USF behind OU and BC.

This college football season has been really wicked when it comes to powerhouses dropping like flies.

Now with #1 LSU and #2 Cal dropping out, I'm not sure what to consider.  I'll be pleased as long as we advance to #4, anything higher makes it better.  We'll see how the rankings look tomorrow afternoon.

Holy crap.  We will be #2 in the BCS rankings when they come out for the first time tomorrow.  That means if the season ended today, we would be in the NC!

We should be #1 PERIOD. Who the F--- has Ohio State played?

Anything else and we are getting screwed.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
