Not that he has a chicken arm (that's a really big stretch), but he really hasn't been playing to par lately.  Our O-line has been playing pretty well, which is giving him time to throw and I think he might be overthinking it.  If you notice he throws it perfectly when he is on the run.  i also think that he really likes to run the ball and now that we have running backs, it takes a little of the fun out of it for him.  But I could and probably am wrong, but that's what I think it going on.

Grothe has room to improve and doesnt have the best deep ball ( For example: the 2 ints friday). But he is such a fierce competitor that USF always has a shot to win with him on the field!

Grothe has a good arm, he can throw the ball 50-60 yards downfield easily.  I'm not sure if he has a classic throwing motion so maybe that is what they are referring to.
