Yeah, but who would we play?

Most likely the ACC Champion, which right now is leaning towards Boston College.  I also assume there is a slight chance of playing one of the at-large teams, which could be anyone near the top (top tier 1-loss teams, etc.)

Actually, that's not true.

The Big East does not have a dedicated BCS bowl tie-in, the only automatic qualifier without the tie-in.  This is because when the new BCS contract was signed, the perception was the Big East was weaker.

Therefore, the Big East champion is lumped in with the other at-large teams.

at this point, it's hard to imagine going to anything less than the gator bowl.  anything less would be a huge letdown.

Actually the Orange Bowl can choose either the BE Champion or the ACC champion.

So the BCS goes like this (Assuming Conference Champion is not in national title game)

Rose: B10 and P10

Fiesta B12 and at large

Sugar: SEC and at large

Orange: BE or ACC (the one not selected is at large) and at large

NC: Determined by BCS System

Assuming LSU v USC in NC

Rose: B10 and at large

Fiesta B12 and at large

Sugar: 2 at large

Orange: BE or ACC (the one not selected is at large) and at large

So if we win the BE there is a very good chance that we would be in the orange bowl

Not that we should get ahead of ourselves, but I think the OB would be best for us. We could bring tons of people to the OB...not so sure about the others though.
