Momentum, Love & media fever

Thanks ESPN for the "lead up" all week for the Big Game, when we were ranked #18. ESPN hooked the Sportswriters, Bowl people & national media. Even the Tampa locals caught the fever. They (ESPN) orchestrated the birth of USF football on to the national stage. They (the rest of the sports media) keep repeating the story until everyone has heard of USF.

The fans showed up and the Bulls delivered. WVU played like they were afraid of losing again. Slater and White and the rest believed the media that this was a big revenge match-up.

It cannot be overstated the role of the media in USF's newly found momentum. One outlet called us the "lova-bulls".

A lesson in the supreme power of the media. It carried us all the way into the UF game when ESPN interviewed Leavitt again (the second time of the day).

The "Ponderosa" is part of the story line from rags to riches.

Now, we're ranked 6th in AP ahead of the fair-haired media favored Gators. That's what's most surprising. The media wants a new story, a story America can relate to, one they can repeat and repeat.  This is alot of mileage for one single win.

Yes, we've gotten a lot of mileage out of a great month.  But it will all go away if we stumble now.

One game at a time.  The ONLY thing on our mind right now has to be FAU.  Let's handle them and then move ahead.
