There is no way the coaches, Harris, computers SOS and anyone else involved with the BCS would put an undefeated USF in the NC over a 1 loss USC/LSU/Florida/Ohio State/Texas/Cal.

We can hope for a top ten finish and start off next year with a shot at it.

Just too difficult to go from unranked all the way to top.  Its no big deal.  These things take time and lets just enjoy the ride!

Based on history, there will only be one to three unbeaten BCS teams when the regular season is over.  If we are unbeaten at that point, we'll be the lowest ranked of the unbeatens.  That still means top 3. 

Unfortunately, we still have a LOOONNNGGG way to go to make that happen.

Not necessarily... I can easily see a 1-loss team being ranked ahead of an undefeated USF... especially if the rest of the teams on our schedule all lose 3-4 games... our SOS would punish us.

Our PROJECTED FINAL SOS accoding to Tellshow was #22 earlier in the week. That could change somewhat, but we should end up somewhere with an SOS in the Top 25. So, that is respectable enough that it COULD get us into the top 2.

With the way that the season is going, I believe that the winner of USC/Cal can go undefeated, LSU and UF will knock each other out with the SEC title game, Wisconsin and Ohio State play each other plus a volatile Big Ten, and Hawaii can run the table.  If we run the table by beating Auburn (on the road), West Virginia, Rutgers (on the road), Louisville, and Cincinnati, we have a realistic shot at making it to New Orleans for the NC game against the Pac-10 winner.  As long as we stay ahead of Hawaii, we should be in good shape.
