Just sent this to the mayor's office.  You can do the same here:

**********

Dear Mayor Iorio:

As a graduate of the University of South Florida yourself, I'm sure you're well aware of the remarkable ascent of the Bulls football program, highlighted this year by a landmark win over a storied Auburn team. The buzz now surrounding the Bulls in the Tampa Bay community is undeniable, and there has never been a better time to support this program.

With that in mind, on Friday the 28th of September, Tampa Bay and the University of South Florida will be the focus of the College Football world, as ESPN will be visiting us to televise what may turn out to be a match-up of two nationally-ranked teams. As is par for the course in ESPN broadcasts, there will be a number of lead-in and lead-out shots that feature the Bay area and our community. How wonderful it would be to make a strong showing of support for our Bulls by illuminating the top of the SunTrust building in Bulls green, or by projecting the "Iconic U" logo of the team up on the side of the Sykes building!

With the team making huge strides nationally, I respectfully urge your office to use whatever influence it has to show the nation that the Tampa Bay area is firmly in support of the Bulls, and that this is now and will continue to be BULLS COUNTRY!

GO BULLS!

Sincerely,

Matthew McDonough

USF C/O 1996

Outstanding UEI!  I encourage all to follow UEI's lead and let's get the city turned on.

Well done, maybe Mayor Baker in St. Petersburg should get a similar letter.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
