Is the Jesse Hester TD in Overtime at Auburn the Greatest Play in USF History?  I can't think of one single play that was bigger than that one.  Sure we've had some great plays, but not on the national stage as that one.  Plus it won the game for us.  Can anybody trump this as the Greatest Single Play ever?

Greatest Single Play in our History?

Has to be this one, because it was a Game Winner at a Ranked School.

I have to concur with E.T., that play put USF on the map with fans outside of Florida and the Big East.

Not a bad thing to put on Jessie's resume.  Glad we'll have him around for two more years!!

If you go to espn.com, and then to their college football page, they have video of the final play plus a post game interview with Jessie!!  Great stuff.

that touchdown by Ian Randolph last year was pretty amazing and that allowed us to beat a higher ranked team

If it were a question of what play will put us on the map with fans outside the Big East and Florida - I would agree. But, if we're talking about flat out amazing plays - Matt gets my vote for doing a great impression of Houdini before connecting with S.J. Green in our game with Pitt last yr. It's the stuff legends are made of.

Hester catch #1

Selvie TD return vs WVU #2

Houdini Grothe #3

Jackson vs UL #4/5/6

What about DeAndrew Rubin breaking a tackle and gaining about 55 yards on third down in the Pittsburgh game of '01 when they were within 28-26? If USF doesn't convert that third down, I think Pittsburgh wins that game.

The Houdini is my fav... but I agree that the one this weekend puts us on the map.

"Houdini Grothe" (can I trademark this?) was crazy football, I'd have to rank this #1

Hester, Selvie, and Jackson were great plays but "Houdini Grothe" was more original.
