TAMPA, Fla. -- The University of South Florida athletics ticket office announced on Sunday that the lower bowl at Raymond James Stadium was nearly sold out for the West Virginia game on Friday, Sept. 28.

The lower bowl seats 41,000 and a filling that section would put USF within striking distance of eclipsing its home attendance record of 49, 212.

As of the end of the business week on Friday, under 1,000 seats remained in the lower bowl.

Tickets in the lower bowl are $31, plus a service charge.

Seats in the upper deck can still be purchased at the price of $26 and $20.

To order tickets, visit ticketmaster.com or call 1-800-GoBulls.

I just saw this myself.

Awesome and we know that we can depend on about 10K walk-ups ... and this was before yesterday's big win.

Go BULLS !!!

I think I said this before, but someone in Athletics should make sure we reserve some more student seats.

There are over 20K seats in the top bowl ... shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe I am overly optimistic, but I am thinking with the win over AU a sell-out is not out of the question.  The upper deck has been open for this game for time.  Some of those 20,000 seats are already sold.  Didn't WVU get additional allotments up there?

I wonder how many seats total remain?

Scarry ET if I am getting more optimistic than you :)

ET was right.  The win at Auburn could push the WVU game into sellout mode.  If not a sellout, it will be darn close.  Students on the fence will now come out, as well as all of the closet alumni not willing to purchase season tickets or go to all of the home games.  WVU will be huge.  Hopefully UNC will be big too!

I think athletics should have a contingent plan always for such an event(s).

Bleachers in the end zone opposite the ship?  :o

If students want tix, NOW is the time to be sure they get them ... and am sure a student has no worries about getting into this game, unless they wait for Game Day.

It WILL be our best crowd ... to date.

STAMPEDE !!!

I must be thinking of companion tix or something else. Still ... I don't see a problem ... obviously won't know until Game Day.

If there is a problem, sure it will be corrected the next day ... would advise students to get there EARLY !
