Reed’s rollercoaster NFL career unfortunately took another dip when he was released by the Philadelphia Eagles. Reed was let go after he fumbled a punt return Sunday late in the fourth quarter at Green Bay, that cost the Eagles in the 16-13 loss. Reed had been picked up off waivers from the New York Giants this season. Reed originally was drafted by Philadephia and spent 2004-05 with the Eagles, before splitting time with St. Louis and Atlanta in 2006. He suffered nerve damage to his leg in 2005.
