South Carolina beat Georgia(very similar in stature to Auburn) at Georgia and they go all the way from unranked to 17.

Boston College beats *cough*..er..NC State and jumps from unranked to 21st.

Bias, plain and simple.  70% bias, 30% merit. :thumbsdown

It's more a problem with our name not being as recognizable as Texas A&M and we didn't get as much pre-season hype as Hawaii. 

But it's still a complete joke how teams are voted into "starting positions" and in order to rearrange those positions, teams in front of you must lose.  After two weeks of football I don't think these rankings have any resemblance to reality.  We will see an entirely different looking rankings at the end of the season.  And if we beat UNC we will certainly be ranked for a show-down of two ranked teams against WVU (our first).

Hawaii plays at UNLV, could lose.

Tenn plays at FL, will lose

BC and GT play each other, one will lose

Oregon plays a good Fresno St team, might lose (they played aTm tough)

Ark plays at Ala, could lose.

At least 2 to 3 teams will lose next week if not more, so we will get in next week without even playing

Actually, they got 1 13th place vote from some writer in Winston-Salem to account for their 19 points. Now this is getting way overboard.

Guys, the AP poll means nothing any more.  Worry about the coaches poll that is 1/3 of the BCS rankings.  The AP poll is now a beauty pageant that only gets you exposure, but means nothing in regards to getting to a BCS bowl.
