If South Florida makes the Gator Bowl they may have a shot at facing Florida State. I don't know if they are the second best team in Florida or not, beating Auburn would help them get a little closer to laying stake to that claim.

I've noticed though that Florida teams have lost their offense in recent years. Even the Gators last year won their national title largely on the shoulders of their defense but that will change with Tebow and the band of talented receivers Meyer has brought in. But take out the Gators and the best QB in the state of Florida is Grothe, the best running back of the state of Florida could very easily be Mike Ford before it's all said and done.

Basically Florida State, Miami, and South Florida will be relying on their defense largely to win games.
