I don't think the fans were in touch with the game. At the end of the third quarter it seemed everyone but me was caught up in this big wave while there was important stuff going on on the field like the Bulls missing a third down conversion that could have helped them ice the game and everyone's like "WOOOOO" and not paying attention.

I seriously hate waves, their one of the reasons I hate going to sporting events. It takes everyone out of the game and their all just focused on when the wave comes back to them it's stupid. Plus it makes me angry which takes away from my enjoyment of the game, or in the case of Saturday's game had me on the verge of exploding because I was already mad about how bad the football team was looking.

I would love to hear the announcer state before the game starts "Remember Bulls, Quiet on Offense, Loud on Defense!" It's quick and it's easy.

Also, I heard plenty of chanting and cheering coming from the Student Section (even the beef studs)... I know people are new (especially in the Studs)... but, before you go in there just make a quick announcement to everyone "hey, remember, no noise on offense."

This is all about home field advantage. We'll never have any sort of traditions if we can't get this "loud on defense, quiet on offense" idea down.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

    Jim Leavitt
