Question for anybody who has done this road trip before.... is it actually faster and easier to take the toll road out of Tampa and hook up with US 19 in  Brooksville and 175 miles up 19 to Tallahassee versus taking I-75 and I-10?    Both AAA and maps.yahoo send you 175 miles up US 19 and I am just having a hard time believing that its quicker...

If you live west of Dale Mabry, it's better to take the Suncoast Parkway to US 19... if you live East of Dale Mabry take I-275 to I-75...
