My game balls for this week go to:

Mike Ford:  Great game with a couple elecrtifying runs.  Should be fun watching him this year.

Tyrone McKenzie:  Solid game with 9.5 tackles

Brouce Mompremier-  Thought he was all over the field and the replay justifies that.

Mike Jenkins:  This guy just gets it when it comes to defending the pass.

George Selvie:  Four sacks and just plain dominant.  There was one play where he was defending a pass 20 yards downfield. 

and

The Elon QB:  Freshman making his first start against a pretty good defense and played great.  Very poised for a yougster.

Entire Elon Defense:  For playing a tough team and not backing down at all.  Good luck in the Southern Conference this year.

Ugly game and glad its behind us as a Win.  Hopefully we'll get some of the big uglies back for Auburn, because we'll need them.  If we play with the same intensity on offense next week, we'll get blown out by 30 points.

I would add Jake Griffin to your list Joe.  He slid over to center and we had no snap issues and the line seemed to make most of their assignments so his calls must have been pretty much on the mark..  Pretty impressive.

The Fans also deserve one ... 3rd best for an opener and a Top 10 overall !

Also a very strong student showing.

The student section is strong and getting bigger each and every game.  I love it!  Although do we really have to sing, "na, na, na, na....goodbye" to Elon?  Its a game we should have won by 40 points and I certainly wasn't happy with the overall play of the offense. 

Normal, agreed about Griffen.  Actually I thought Schmidt moved over at some point.
