AU's Lester suspended, won't play against KSU

AUBURN - Junior Auburn tailback Brad Lester has been suspended and will not play in Saturday night's season-opener against Kansas State at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Sophomore Ben Tate is expected to start in his place.

An Auburn announcement Friday night finally ended the speculation about Lester's status. The announcement said Lester was suspended because of "unresolved academic issues" and would remain suspended until those issues are resolved.

Unresolved academic issues? What is that crap? If he failed a class is the professor going to change his grade or let him retake exams? I can't believe that he has an unresolved issue dating back to last year that he can just miraculously resolve over the next week. If he plays this year someone is making something happen behind the scenes that can't be kosher.

Dont worry....if you saw any of Ben Tates runs (hell be starting in place of lester) you would wish brad was in....Lesters a small wr basically hell most likely be back next week anyways but i would love to see tate start

It is very possible if Lester is out for academics he may be gone for the season but Tates very good if yall wanna see hes not as quick obviously haha but hes a powerful runner

if tate was better then lester how come lester is #1 on the depth chart.  sure, i heard that this tate guy avg 7.2 yards per carry last year but when did his playing time come?

Lester first on depth chart because he had the experience but i didnt say he was better hes good and has a lot of potential...he had some really good runs against Nebraska in the Cotton bowl last year he hasnt had as much playing time as lester.  (Lester started the first 4 games in 2005 untill he was injured and kenny irons took the job
