Fire the cannons

Been thinking about this for awhile and figured I'd post it. Since we have the pirate ship in the stadium and its not going anywhere, why not fire the cannons when we score?  I figure it would get people even more pumped up after a TD.  Doubt it would cost much per game to man it. I'm sure marketing doesn't want it done because they don't want anyone to be confused as to what our mascot is. 

Give me your opinions guys.

Just trying to fill the time between now and tomorrow night.

We have plenty of things we do afer a big score that are much more traditional college style.

THe only schools I know of that fire cannons are UNC and military type schools-- and they have their ROTC programs doing that. I would like to distance ourselves from the Pirate ship as much as possible on game days.

I think it's a great idea provided......

1) We change our nickname to the Buccaneers

2) We change our colors to pewter & red

3) We are willing to fork over the $8-million we'd have to pay Malcolm "USF's Daddy" Glazer for $50 worth of gunpowder.

If we are going to change anything I would remove the piped in music or limit that music to Bulls specific types of things. The Band makes enough noise for me--- I don't need to hear some of that other stuff that I would alo hear at a Bucs game. That isn't college imo

We're saving that to christen our new OCS..... but what about an air horn, like in hockey?  :
