he was hightly recruited out of high school.  got to wvu and didnt realize how good slaton was.  got jealous and started voicing displeasure with the city and west virginia as a whole, got bad grades and left for community college to play and get his grades up.  

i thought i heard that wvu was going to play him on defense only ?? i think his name is spelled gwaltney

He's a RB at WVU and will probably be Slaton's backup.

I believe he blew his knee out against Rutgers that year which handed the reigns over to Slaton permanently.

He's better than Devine .... or are you assuming that Devine won't be there this year because of grades?

As of now Devine is no sure thing to get into school. Until I see him on the WVU campus practicing in uniform I can't include him.

Devine will be the #2 right away if he does get there. He's that good.

There's a guy who posts on another forum I'm on who was a senior when Devine was a freshman at his school, and his little brother was friends with Noel. He talks to him pretty regularly, and said that he's probably still going to a prep school for a year and redoing the recruiting process
