Also, I don't see how it matters when it comes to addressing OUR situation.

They just gotten a conference affiliation and were just getting their 1st recruits from the new program through.A better example is how Miami ran Perry Clark after 4 years because of poor records (despite a NCAA birth one year).

I think his/hers was more a rhetorical question not really requiring an answer... although an appropriate answer to the question would be another question: What Big East coach(es) lost their job after just two years in the conference?

Two years in the BE, but four years overall.

I doubt he would take the job with the budget that was in place in '03. Like some others, he might have wisely passed.I can't fully blame him or the school for two awful BE seasons. Two years is not a lot of time to prepare.Much like starting our football program - we did not come out of the gates playing BCS and Top25 schools for a reason - we needed time to build. RMc had little time before being thrust into a conference with 5-6 teams in Top 25 and 6-8 in NCAA Tournament. It's a tough hand to be dealt. I'd feel a lot better if people realized that. We're playing BE basketball with a Sun Belt/C-USA perspective.
