I don't usually find time to read the feedback on Brett's blog, I can get all the whining I need right here (snicker).

But I found this response to the McHugh Mattis benching hilarious:

Jeffrey, I do not know what Mattis did so I don’t think you can simply overlook it and say he should have played. Maybe it was for discipline reasons, a missed assignment for the 100th time this season, no defensive effort, it could be countless things. If McCullum was angry at Mattis, he wouldn’t have played at all in the second half (he played the entire second half). Also, sitting some one for five minutes is a joke. Seth Greenberg did that routinely with his players - after players told his assistants to F-off and other incidents - and Greenberg would “punish” them by not starting them the next game. Then they would enter the game at the first TV timeout (or earlier if USF fell behind) and play the rest of the game. Some punishment.

Failed to make our own conference tourny 3 of the last 4 years.

If we can’t do better then that, we should just do away with the entire basketball program.

Expecations have been the problem on fowler avenue for decades.

Bring in a top coach for god sakes.

As for the “realistsâ€Â, I guess we are crazy for thinking that if you can win at Drexel, you should be able to win at South Florida.

Mr. Woolard, Karl Hobbs at George Washington would be an outstanding choice.

Mac probably had his reasons.  Coaches just don't do stuff like that for no good reason, ESPECIALLY if their head is potentially on the chopping block.
