(March 1, 2007) – The University of South Florida softball team will look to extend its two-game win streak this weekend and improve its overall record of 13-6 when it hosts the Louisville Slugger Tournament. On Friday, the Bulls will face Auburn at 4 p.m. and Central Michigan at 6 p.m. Saturday’s action will feature USF taking on New Mexico State at 4 p.m. and Utah at 6 p.m. On Sunday, tournament action will conclude with the Bulls playing Maryland at 1:30 p.m. Every USF game except the matchup with Central Michigan on Friday at 6 p.m. will be broadcast via internet radio on www.GoUSFBulls.com. Hosting their fourth-consecutive tournament of the season, the Bulls are also looking to capture a tournament championship after finishing in second place their three previous tries. During the past week of competition (Feb. 23-27), USF has posted a record of 6-1. The Bulls lead the all-time series with Auburn (3-2), Central Michigan (6-5), New Mexico State (4-0) and Maryland (8-4). Utah and USF are tied with one win apiece, and the last game played between the teams was in 1986.
