(Feb. 23, 2007) – The gates to Red McEwen Field will open two hours prior to all University of South Florida baseball games for the remainder of the season. The Bulls, who are currently 6-1 this season, have 33 home games remaining this season. This weekend USF hosts Manhattan College, with games times as follows: Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 25 at noon. The Bulls will then host the University of Florida at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Red McEwen Field. A complete USF baseball schedule can be seen on the Bulls’ website at www.GoUSFBulls.com. USF baseball game tickets can be purchased at the ballpark on game day or in advance by calling 1-800-GoBulls between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (EST) Monday-Friday. Adults can attend a single USF game this season for $5 while seniors (65-and-older) and children (12-and-younger) are $3. Groups of 10-or-more fans will be charged $2 per person. Children under the age of three attend Bulls games for free.

Does it have anything to do with beer sales at the park? I can see doing it for the upcoming game against UF, but for the average Big East game I doubt there will be a huge turnout over an hour prior to first pitch.
