Not great, but by historical standards, would have to be an improvement. Can we all commit to do our part this year? For those of us in the Bay area (I'm in Lakeland...part of the Bay area on a stretch). If we all plan to attend at least 10 games this year....attendance will have to end on an up note. The wife and I drive over for every football game, every Basketball game, many Women's Basketball games and we're adding Baseball and Softball to the "many" list this year.Support the Green and Gold!

I have a lot of work friends from Georgia Tech so I will be bringing them over for that series. Hopefully they can get more students to come.

I hope some other midwest Bulls get out to see the Basebulls on the road. Normal

Guest r_to_the_izzo Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I cannot afford to attend every USF event and while I support USF athetics as a whole I don't have much interest in seeing the women's bball team or the softball team. You'll find most people would pick football first and men's basketball a distant second - attendance figures bear that out.I just don't have the disposable time to attend every USF event.Im surprised your posting, USF didnt lose today.

Here are the numbers from the first weekend last year versus Northwestern:2/10- 8182/11- 4862/12- 296Using my simple math skills that equals 1600. From what I've seen and read, we've averaged about 700 per game, so that is a total of 2100, so we are already 500 above last years average. So we didn't double it like I predicted, but we did get 1/3 more traffic at the game. We don't get ND for a three game series this year, but GT comes to town so that should balance it out. Also, Louisville was the next biggest draw last year thanks to Coach Prado and family.I've been to two games already and notice a difference. Once we get the beer sales sorted out and once hoops season is over, all USF fans can turn their attention to the Baseball team. Go support the team, you won't regret it. It truly is the best bargain for all USF sports.

My trip to the CWS in 2001 was one of the best sporting event trips I have ever taken. Hopefully one day soon I will make that trip to watch USF.
