Getting Respect from UNC Board

Go to the Tar Pit from the link above and look under the 2007 Schedule thread.  They list their out of conference schedule which includes JMU, ECU, USF, and USC.  They are basically saying they will be 1-3 after those four games.  I guess the win is James Madison, but its unclear.  ECU will be fired up since its a home game and they are looked upon like we are to UF in that state.

Still, not many hopeful posters on that board.  I guess they see things as half empty..............

I'm not sure lumping us in with ECU is what I would call respect. Sounds like they're mostly just dumping on themselves. ( I didn't go their board so I'm just basing it on what you wrote)

Let me be the eternal optimist and say that they expect their loss will come from USF!!!!   I firmly believe we have the talent and our guys have as much grit and determination as any team I have seen to date.

It was a little more than what I wrote, but it was a combination of USF respect and being down on their own team.  Its good to see that from another BCS conference or school.

I remember reading that board before the game this year. The people there thought we were a 1-AA team, and were shocked they were underdogs, and the ones who knew we werent a 1-AA team, thought we were in C-USA. I try not to read that board anymore if I can help it.

I read that as more disdain for their program than 'respect' for USF.

I can't fully agree with you on that score Wooly.  At that early stage many of their posters really didn't know where USF was classified.  We went from 1-AA to CUSA to the BE in what, 3 years.  Can't blame their confusion. LOL

If they have no faith in their team, that is a shame.  Even when we get on RMC's case we still have faith in our players, when they are healthy and able to play.  

As a USF fan you have to support your team in good times as well as bad.
