Looking at the schedule for MBB, I see USF favored only vs Rutgers.  I think they might have good chances @SJU & DePaul @ Home.  Slim chances vs. Syracuse & Providence.  Maybe throw an upset in too.  Not that I want to but I'm seeing the demise of Coach McCullum and no trip to NYC.  But with that said, if Howard can cut the TOs in half, the bench can give 10 maybe 12 pts (wishful thinking), plus defend the three better maybe 6 BE wins is possible.  I like putting Verdejo on the bench to convince him to defend if that was the real reason.  Williams and Capko might add something too.  I also believe if you live by the three you die by the three.  There will be a team or two that will go cold or start cold like Wake Forest and that could cost them vs the Bulls.  If Lady Luck can hold out.  And yes I know they must play the games but I just wanted to discuss the future of the our MBB team.  Looking for some good analysis from you die hards.  I been to busy and discouraged to devout much quality time to watching BB at this point in time.

I watched them play the FSU game at the Palace, and a couple more games. That McDermott is a beast... in the mold of Ryan Gomes. That will be a tough game because they have a lot of size and we are very short handed at that position with Aris and Melvyn out. Hopefully Melvyn is healed up by then.

Their bigs can shoot the 3 too... well, except for the big ugly 7 footer. That guy is 4 -5 inches taller than gransberry and probably 20-40 lbs bigger.

When you factor in that he had 10 assists yesterday it bodes well for the rest of the season.5 Big East wins should get us to NYC. We have a shot against Rutgers, Seton Hall, DePaul, and Providence. SOme other teams are up and down like Marquette and WVU. If we catch teams like that on one of their down days, then we should be all right. I haven't seen too much of Syracuse, but I am sure they will present a tough test. ND seems to be off and on as well.I think we can get to NYC. That would be a good accomplishment to start with. Hopefully we'd have enough wins to maybe snag an NIT bid, but that is going to be tough.Just keep getting the ball to Gransberry. That guy is a beast.

They have no size, poor shooting, and aren't fundamentally sound. The loss to Wofford was a statement of Cincy's season. It only gets harder from here, I'll be supporting the guys through thick and thin; but I think both factions need to take the situation as a reality.(That means quit ******** about the coaching staff Darksiders; and those who are on the other side, please don't go making this team into a NIT team everytime we win, it only fuels 500 posts about RMC)

Sometimes ND relies too much on the three. If we catch them on a bad shooting night, they can be beat. Remember they are only one season removed from barely making it to NYC. They had a ton of close losses last year so anything is possible. USF needs to concentrate on winning the home games, and try to upset somebody on the road.
