They didnt close the door. Those so called aces never pitched in post season before and learned a valuable lesson. The Marlins had a higher power helping them whatever. Fact of the matter is the Sox are building a championship team and have an awesome ownership and mgt team in place for the first time in about 100 years. If they dont win a series in Schillings tenure then his signing would be a failure and he was quoted as saying that yesterday in Boston herald. I got to agree with you though as he was such a jerk that he personally offended many players that could have helped us. He is now opening a huge sports camp in western mass for gifted young athletes ala nick boletteri academy. His cousin Jim Duquette is now the GM for the Mets as they took his interim label off. they are not remotely alike at all as Jim is a much easier person to get along with. If Schiiling gets injured then so be it. That stuff happens, I think he will win 20 games and for you to say that Pedro is done you are freakin nuts. I gaurentee you that George would be the first person in line with millions of dollars to sign Pedro if he were a free agent. He is the best pitcher in baseball though he can only pitch 6 or 7 innings. The Yanks are now looking at the 2nd highest aid pitcher in baseball in Kevin Brown who is 58 years old and making 486 million a year and gets hurt takin a dump in the morning. He will end up on the yanks and then we wil see what you have to say about that. Personally I would take Pedro for the same dollars as Kevin Brown but apparently the genius's running the yanks see differently. Whats next pay AndyPetite 15 million a year for his 15 wins and 4.50 era?

Watch out Bosox. Unlike your Schilling, Vazques will be an ace for the Yanks for the next 10 years or so. You had better hope the Pettite deal falls through, or you're in for another long season.
