Sox looking at Shilling and Foulke

This may be jumping the gun a bit... but, who cares.

Shilling/Pedro/Lowe/Wakefield as the starters

Foulke as closer

Williamson as setup guy

Timlin/Embry(sp?) as middle relievers

Not a bad lineup (as long as Timlin and Embry are playing like they did in the playoffs)

But if they do pull this off, I can't wait to see how the Yanks respond.

I'm surprised the Yanks aren't trying to grab shilling, they always go for whomever the sox want.

Actually they are both going after him, but it looks like they may not steal this one away from the Sox this time.  But ya never know.

Colangelo is still upset about Georgie stealing Wells from him two years ago after Colangelo thought he had wells all wrapped up. He was holding out for Soriano and Nick Johnson and George was not going to do that for a 38 year old schilling. I think Sox will get schilling and hopefully Foulke. I would bet that Williamson would be shipped out if they get Foulke.

Well Shilling is in, hopefully foulke follows.  I'm not sure about williamson, but i hope they keep him, he'd be a good setup guy.

It is sounding a lot like Foulke is going to resign with Oakland.  Williamson has told the Beantwon brass that he would like an opportunity to win a spot in the rotation next year. I think Sox will probably put Williamson and Kim in spring training rotation and see what one wins the #5 spot and ship out the loser. If Sox dont get Foulke they will probably make a run at steady Eddie Guardado who's agent said I dont know anyone who would not want to play for the Red Sox.   The boston papers said this weekend that the Arod rumors are not dead yet either but Manny would have to go in the deal.  It would still save Texas a bunch of cash but does not appear like it will happen.

If Arod comes in, and manny goes out, who plays short?  Arod i would guess, then Nomar plays where?

I would love to have Arod, but i'm a little confused on how he fits in unless nomar was gone.
