I like to think of ourselves as being very proud and passionate because we dont have a huge fan base like Ohio St, Tenn, UF, or some of those other big schools. I know most of those big schools have huge bandwagon fans that are really not true fans. On the other hand, USF has mostly true fans that live and die for USF. This ride has been great. GO BULLS!!!!

That we're able to make statements like, "I was at the inaugural game", "I was there for the first bowl game", "the first bowl victory", "I've been to every bowl game".....etc etc. Things that the vast majority of college football fans can NOT say. While the history and tradition of the older schools/programs is VERY cool, we are able to help create that for our school/team, not just jump on.

I know after the WVU game I had a few tears in my eyes after listening to Leavitt. This program is something special. I am proud to be here to watch it grow.

That is what makes USF special for me. Some people of other teams like to rag on me for rooting for USF, but I just tell them that USF is family to me. They will never understand because they just basically jumped on the Ohio St, Tenn, UF, Miami' etc bandwagon. They will never be able to compare the growth that USF has gone through. They will never understand on how hard it is to go from 1AA to C-USA to BIG EAST in a few short years. That to me is the amazing thing about the USF program, not some trash talking crap from big schools that think their crap does not stink. We got the opportunity to play the little guys on the road like Cumberland and Drake. I still have respect for those small programs because I know USF had to rely on those small programs just to fill out a schedule. Anyway, noone will ever take away my USF pride. No one!!!

I have friends in Jacksonville that still laugh about when we were watching a college game and along the ticker came a Drake & Davidson(or something like that) score and I screamed because of the score helping USF ... 8-) And this thread needs a reminder for those who do not have it yet: http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=454899&KEY=&DB_OEM_ID=7700&DB_LANG=&IN_SUBSCRIBER_CONTENT=
