It's all heading south. The streets here have puddles, therefore hydroplaning is a real threat. I lost a great friend a few years ago on an Alabama highway, very similar to 231, when his car hydroplaned into an oncoming tanker truck. Also, if you take 231, be sure to slow down to the speed limit in the smaller towns, especially Ozark, AL. The local constables love pulling over outsiders.Be safe y'all. Don't want to lose any of our great Bulls fans. I hope to see many of you at the Bullbackers pre-game hook up on Sat. morning.Normal

The roads in Alabama are absolutely awful for night driving in the rain, especially within in cities. We stopped in Montgomery and checked out the first Confederate White House and their current capital building on the way up. There are no reflectors in the roads, and hardly any lighting. You cant see the road paint, and on several occasions I found myself driving down the wrong side of the road because I couldn't see the center lines. The highways into Birmingham werent much better, and Birmingham itself has been difficult.
