elaborating on what i said in the other post....

there are about 5 or 6 that will want to fire coach mac no matter what, about 3 or 4 who will support him no matter what, and everyone elses opinion seems to sway with every win or every loss. it's kinda funny, but predictably boring at the same time.

I said before the season started, that barring injury, we were gonna make the Big East tourney. That pretty much guarantees an NIT bid, which is a good step in the right direction for the program. So i guess to answer your question, yes i'm along for the ride.

If Mac haters get called out for calling for his head early on then I'm not sure Mac supporters should anoint him coach of the year early on either.  They are looking better than last year but that doesn't say much.  

I think I will wait and see (which is a shift in my position by the way)

True, that HUGE stetson win seems soooooooooooooo far away, doesn't it?  Mac himself even said so on his tv show, if we lose to stetson, things might not be looking so rosy..........

I'm not a Mac hater, I've never called for his head, I have lost faith in him.

I personally cannot go convincing myself that this team is an NIT team because we slammed a Norfolk St. team that is 1-6. We did what most programs should do, if we didn't beat them badly I would have been concerned.

Is this team better than last year? Yes.

Does that mean this team is good enough to make the BE Tourny? I'll wait to see how this team plays against a team with a pulse.

UNLV is an NIT caliber team (they'll finish 3rd in MWC behind SDSU and Air Force) that will be our 1st true test this year.

You have seen enough of what?  What have we done so far this year?  Would you be happy if we beat Plant High too?  Get real my man, lets wait until we play some comp.  We played one team worth anything so far this year and lost.  And havent beat some horrendous team too convincingly either.  Big east coach of the year, I think coffee just came out of my nose.

NIT, depends on overall record.  It will need to be around the .500 mark.

BE coach of the year, not going to happen.  too many other big time programs with big time coaches.
