Mentioned Spurrier and Saban. Then said lets look at the realistic candidates.(In this order)Kragthorpe, Rodriguez, Petrino, and Jim Leavitt (then mentioned he was interviewed 4 years ago)

The boosters there are brutal... They remember the good old days of "Bear"... Well my friends when Bear was there the SEC was nothing by today's standard's... JimL, Petrino (I think he will learn from JL Smith's move to MSU) and Rodriguez are already building their own traditions and the last thing they need to do is go coach somewhere where they would only be compared to an old tradition.
Elcaro Posted November 28, 2006 Group: Member Topic Count: 8 Content Count: 22 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 11/28/2006 Posted November 28, 2006 There are at least six possibilities for the Alabama job, none of which have a direct link to the school: Rutger's Greg Schiano, former Wisconsin coach Barry Alvarez, Tulsa's Steve Kragthorpe, Wake Forest's Jim Grobe, Cal's Jeff Tedford and Navy's Paul Johnson.-- tidesports.comESPN will surely plug Leavitt, since he's from a Florida school, just pulled off a huge win and, well, because they're repenting for blowing a certain crap school from Florida out of proportion in 2005 for beating a bunch of teams in a row who could probably be beat by USF's flag football intramural champs. You know, maybe they didn't even win those games, maybe O'Leary just put those wins on his resume.

Let's hope he'll really, really miss those Sun Dolls. They'd keep me around, I know that.
