BIG EAST CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES WEEKLY FOOTBALL AWARD WINNERS

Louisville's Brohm, USF's Selvie and Cincinnati's Lovell earn BIG EAST Conference weekly football honors.

USF defensive end George Selvie is the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On Monday, Nov. 27, the BIG EAST Conference announced it weekly football award winners. For the third time this season, Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week. In addition, USF defensive end George Selvie received Defensive Player of the Week accolades, and Cincinnati kicker Kevin Lovell earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Brohm earns BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors for the seventh time in his career. In Louisville's 48-24 win at Pittsburgh on Nov. 25, the Cardinal junior completed 21-of-29 passes for 337 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. It was the fourth time this season in which he has surpassed the 300-yard mark. Brohm leads the league in passing yards per game (266.3).

In USF's 24-19 victory at No. 7 West Virginia on Nov. 25, Selvie returned a fumble nine yards for a touchdown to give the Bulls their first lead - a lead they were never relinquish. He finished the game with a team-high eight tackles, as well as 3.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Selvie helped USF hold the Mountaineers to just 132 yards on the ground.

Lovell kicked the game-winning 29-yard field goal with 10 seconds remaining to give Cincinnati a 26-23 victory at Connecticut on Nov. 25. The Bearcat senior was 4-for-4 on field goal attempts in the game, connecting from 25, 28, 42 and 29 yards. He also made both his PAT attempts to extend his school record streak to 79.

106 yds. rushing and 2 TD in a 38-7 victory versus Syracuse;

With his second TD, Leonard broke the school's career scoring mark.

22-of-30 for 279 yds., 1 TD; 47 rushing yds., 1 TD in 24-19 win at WVU.
