Dickson Earns MVP Honors As Bulls Win Best Western Roundball Classic

TAMPA, Fla. (Nov. 26, 2006) – The University of South Florida (6-0) women’s basketball team defeated Massachusetts (5-1), 86-61, to win the Best Western Roundball Classic Sunday afternoon at the Sun Dome.

Senior All-America and National Player of the Year candidate Jessica Dickson (Ocala, FL) earned the tournament’s most valuable player award following her two-game performance of 38 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two blocks.

In the championship game of the tournament UMass took an early 4-0 advantage, but three minutes into the contest, the Bulls edged the Minutewomen 6-4 to take the lead for good.

The refs were HORRIBLE yesterday.  Would have won by 30+ if the were halfway decent
