Less BCS money

I like how lou, the trib, and other media are saying we caused the big east to lose an extra 4 million in BCS money.  You would think that maybe they would think before they say crap like that.  WVU lost a home game in which they were favored to win!  But its not there fault......... I like how no mater what we do the trib and the media will slap us in the face but that’s why I love this school!!!!!!!!!

Who cares?  Not me, that's for sure.

With all that publicity we got yesterday, I think Doug, Jim, & Co. would be willing to sacrifice a few mil for that kind of exposure.

I believe one paper said our share would have been like $337,000. We got more out of that win yesterday w/ publicity than that I think. We for the most part, upstaged uf-f$u, which would have only happened with us winning. Every national highlight show has done our game in the last 24 hours.

You gotta play the games regardless of outcomes like this.  To suggest that USF should have rolled over for the BCS dough is sheer ignorance.

I don't remember anybody whining about Cinci's win against rutgers costing the BE $$$.  That upset did as much damage as ours (against WVU).

If RUT beat cinci we'd still have an undefeated Rutgers and a 10-1 Lou (with their only loss coming to an undefeated top 5 team.

Boise st is the team that really screwed us (BE).

It did strike me as odd at first, but you figure

what it really means is that a lot folks were

couting the proverbial chickens prior to hatching.

And the party ain't over yet...so all of the speculation

about who's going where, etc. was just a weee

bit premature.

That was a huge upset yesterday , with USF being

written off as -21, but it just goes to show you that

it ain't over until the clock ticks zero.

The statement about costing the BE some $ just

underscores how huge that win really was.

Holtz should have been thrown in the asylum years ago...is almost unbearable listening to his incoherent, lisp filled rambling about how notre dame and south carolina should play in the national title game every year.  He and Mark May basically completely chalked WV's loss up to them just not "showing up", rather than giving us ANY credit for having an unbelievably great defensive sceme for the game.  I understand it may have been a combination of the 2, but give credit where credit is due.  With that said, i am so happy we got the national recognition we got yesterday.
