Maybe all the coaches from other conferences can do what Houston Nutt did to WVU last year and "forget" them on their last ballot

Maybe Pitt or Cincy depending on how things wind down.

I think it takes away from the season since some teams know they are going to a bowl no matter what, while others know that no matter what they do they can't get the bowl.

I think it takes away from the season since some teams know they are going to a bowl no matter what, while others know that no matter what they do they can't get the bowl.Outrunner, the Big 10 season is over, none of their teams have eanymore games. Further, it is fairly obvious that both Michigan and OSU will be automatic qualifiers for the BCS. The bowls extended bids to allow all those teams' fans to start planning. No sense in the delay at this point.

The Auburn pick seems strange to me...From what I can tell, the SEC has been affiliated with the Outback Bowl since the 1996 bowl game and from 1996-present the bowl has selected an SEC West team twice (Auburn 1996 and Alabama 1997)
