Big East defenders are demanding to know why, when Louisville beats West Virginia, 44-34, it proves that neither team is deserving of a chance to play for the national championship, but when Ohio State beats Michigan, 42-39, it proves that both teams are deserving of a chance to play for the national championship. Body of work does count for something -- the Mountaineers aren't stopping anyone very often -- but fans of the traditional powers might tone down their holier-than-thou rhetoric after that point-a-thon in Columbus.

The question is, is there a corresponding offense that can outscore them? At Louisville, the answer was yes. Neither Mich or Ohio St. could stop WV's offense. OSU at least has the potential to outscore them. I doubt Michigan could.Normal

He went on to say that he was wrong when he blasted UL and WVU because he admits that he witness much of the same type of game for what was supposed to be the two best teams in the nation. Sileo is just a defense first type of guy, so he hates watching track meets. Sometimes, even the best teams get caught up in those shootout track meets especially against WVU.

I think people are finally coming around to realizing how talented WVU really is in the backfield. Since UL in 2006 no one has stopped them, you can only hope to outscore them.To bad because WVU has some talent on defense but not quite what they've had the past few years, or rather it's young and developing. This was actually more of a transition year for the WVU defense, had they been a bit more conducive to Rodriguez teams of the past then I think this team would have blown out UL. As it stands WVU's offense is the best in the country and I don't think ANY team in the country can stop it. You do what UL did, slow them down a bit, get some turnovers and try to run up a score high enough to make it impossible to come back. You've got two potential heisman players in the backfield, and a FB that's your consummate throw-back guy...the last time I saw a team that had two heisman players in the same backfield they won two NC's and almost a third- USC with Leinhart and Bush. Slaton and White are that good, different dynamics obviously to their games then the other two, but still great.
