Many years ago we used to get leads only to not be able to hang on for a lack of a running game.. Although I love the "CardiacBULLS"  we will eventually have to RUN out the clock.. Will Ponton make that much of a difference?

He better or we're screwed!   :)

Is it me, or is the O-Line not opening the holes they did last year?  It seems our big gains are typically around the tackles, not between them.

They're doing a fine job of protecting Matt (although he got sacked, what, 5x yesterday)?

One big problem is that our backs are hesitating as they approach the line instead of just hitting the hole.  Saw that numerous times yesterday.

That and our O-Line is down to like 3rd string walk-ons. I'm hoping Watson heals quick. Hopfully this will help recruiting....."Come to South Florida, you may start tomorrow, even without a scholarship."

The 2 main issues I see:

1. Style of the running game - most runs are designed to look like pass plays, allowing the Dline to make the 1st step and then the Oline directs based on initial move.

2. Predictability of the running game - most runs are diagnosed in the stands let alone on the field of play where opponents study game film

Last time I checked, USC has no walk on's on the oline.

That is who you mean by "we" right?
