CSTV Is Horrible

For those who watched the game on CSTV, is it just me or is CSTV the worst sports channel on television?  I will try and make a list of all the things that really bothered me, but I am sure I will forget a few.

1) The announcer couldn't even remember what teams were playing.  He kept refereing to UCF as Georgia Tech.  I know GOL is on the sideline and I know the UNIs are somewhat close (if you are drunk) but it is inexecusable for an announcer not to be able to remember the teams that are playing.  My wife couldn't tell you if a linebacker is an offensive player or defensive player (or football player for that matter) but when she is watching football she knows which teams are playing!

2) It sounded like I was watching the cubs play on WGN, I mean is this the UCF television network, if so I can excuse the home town commentating a bit.  Still they probably plugged how this game should be played every year at least 10 times.  At one point even making some comment to the affect of "CJL has basically said USF is too good for this game..."

3) When Ean went out hurt we got absolutly no update as to his condition.  How much can it cost to have two internts, one on each sideline, talk to medical staff to find the injury situation.  I could have missed them saying something, but I would have expected an update.

4) It seemed when they tried to show a replay they always had the wrong one in the queue.

Just my thoughts..  Glad we are on ESPN2 next week, C-DOA can have this CSTV garbage.

you do realize next week at Kansas is on FSN Florida and then Rutgers is on ESPN or ESPN2?

They also did not understand why Jim called a timeout before the FG.  A shaky kicker is always better off kicking towards the open end of a field like that rather than the rowdy side.

Yeah.. I forgot about the Kansas game, don't have FSN Florida so I really meant the next game I get to see .

They also did not understand why Jim called a timeout before the FG.  A shaky kicker is always better off kicking towards the open end of a field like that rather than the rowdy side.

I was actually suprised by that call.  If CJL had wanted to kick from that side it seemed he had plenty of time to get his kicking team on the field and let the kicker kick.  Since he waited so long, it seemed the worst thing to do was call a timeout.  I don't know, if I am a kicker I would think that would get in my head more than kicking into the student section.  Hard to question the decision though, the kicker made the kick.

I would not have done it.  In a close game I believe in saving TO's.  I just understand why he did it even if I do not agree with it.

And also the announcers confused the two schools a few times through out the game.  Also amen to the whole "this game needs to be played" out look, and im a proponent of this game.  You dont bring stuff like that up during a game periood! Thats for the 2 schools to work out.

It did seem like a UCF love fest, GOL gives them national appeal I guess.
