The source of the "Little Two" Concept?

No, it's not what you're thinking, not  the little man syndrome Fennelly has

I think the "Little Two" concept must come from the long time Tribune writer's association with the paper itself.  Now these stats are a little dated, but probably hold up pretty well today.  As you can see, the Trib itself is battling with the sister of the Sentinel in it's own little "Little Two" battle.  Jeez, beat down by an Orlando paper,  no wonder Marty has such an affinity for all things "little".  The sad thing is when I post the more current stats, I am sure we'll find the Trib still far behind other Bay area papers and with an industry trend of fewer subscriptions.  You're stuck little, not us Marty.

For the six months ending September 2006:

Tampa Tribune Daily:  204,408, was 232,889

Tampa Tribune Sunday:  278,411, was 324,79

I'm sure it's far lower now...

That was 2006...wonder how many dozen actually see Marty and Brett's vitriol, I'm guessing we're getting worked up about the tree that falls in the forest when nobody is there...
