WEST VIRGINIA: Coach Rich Rodriguez said he will look for a running back to replace recruit Raymond Williams, who is charged in Ohio with murder and aggravated robbery. Rodriguez said he will leave the door open only if Williams is "completely exonerated," graduates and meets academic requirements.

I'm sure it's not an immediate need and will just use the scholly for next year.

Well that explains a lot.  For being such an amazing RB, and god given athlete coaches were hardly around this kid.  Tells me something was going on, either the kid was dealing with this and rumors got back to many staffs that Williams had problems, or they knew and were waiting to see if he got charged.

This kid was huge, Ohio's leading rusher and most schools treated him like he had the plague.  When there's smoke there's fire sometimes.

he was in canada when it happened?

i don't know the details but this is no minor charge.
