How is the GMAC bowl on Jan 7th when they're CUSA#2 and the Liberty bowl which is CUSA#1 on Dec 30th?

Not only that, but the International bowl is on the 6th also.  After the BCS bowls start.

Makes no sense to me.

yeah, that is dumb, but it fills in the gap between the BCS Bowl games and the national championship game.  and of course, i'm sure those bowl games payed some money to get themselves in that position.  wouldn't be bad to finish 4th (with Notre Dame going to BCS bowl) so we could play a week into January.

Any bowl game would be nice to go to versus none.

I like the idea of playing the one that gives us the most cash and is easiest for fans to attend.

So they predict South Florida in Toronto and Connecticut in Birmingham... yeah right.

Not sure about Navy... They are 2-0 but their remaining schedule is rough, and they need five more victories -- and they barely beat U Mass this weekend (21-20):

at Stanford

vs Tulsa

at Connecticut

at Air Force

vs Rutgers

vs #2 Notre Dame

at Duke

at Eastern Michigan

vs Temple

vs Army

Mieneke "might" be available.

I predict:

at Stanford   LOSS

vs Tulsa LOSS

at Connecticut LOSS

at Air Force LOSS

vs Rutgers LOSS

vs #2 Notre Dame LOSS

at Duke WIN

at Eastern Michigan WIN

vs Temple WIN

vs Army WIN

what a joke that they get the Meineke based on that bag of **** schedule

I don't think so... If I remember correctly, they changed that rule when they added the 12th game every year.

I think a team must be 7-5 to go to a bowl game.

I need to look it up....

Yes ... according to the 2005-2006 Postseason Handbook:

A deserving winning team is defined as one that wins a minimum of six games against Division I-A competition and has a record that includes more wins than losses. [Exception: Each year, a Division I-A institution may count a victory against a Division I-AA opponent that has averaged 90 percent of the permissible maximum number of grants-in-aid per year in Division I-AA football over a rolling two-year period. Only a conference champion may seek a waiver of these requirements.
