C Ryan Schmidt, a transfer from Kansas State, won his appeal with the NCAA and was ruled immediately eligible.

Suprised this is how I discover it ... unless this was already posted and I missed it.

It was in the St. Pete Times on Saturday.  He was in uniform against FIU.

He's the No. 2 center, moving ahead of walk-on Jason Fox. Starter Nick Capogna has seemed to do well -- line hasn't given up a sack yet, though the run blocking hasn't been as solid ...

Saying the run blocking hasn’t been solid is and understatement Greg they have been outright horrifying

Yeah, if we can't run a five man OL unit out there that can block the illustrious defenses of McNeese State and FIU, we're going to be in Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trouble when we get in to conference play.

Hope we can get it together this week, O-line!!
