(Sept. 9, 2006) – The University of South Florida women’s soccer team will host Florida International University Sunday afternoon at the USF Soccer Stadium. The Bulls will kick off with the Golden Panthers at 1 p.m. in a non-conference match up. The Bulls enter their sixth game of the season with a 4-0-1 record, including Friday night’s 1-0 victory over No. 23 Marquette University. Junior Lindsay Brauer leads the Bulls with seven goals and three assists while freshman Jaleesa Scott and junior Autumn Browning each have three goals. Senior goalkeeper Casey Garrett has made 15 saves and allowed just two goals in five games. The Golden Panthers are winless at 0-4-0, including losses to Samford (3-1), UCF (3-1), Jacksonville (1-0) and Miami (2-0). FIU is led by junior Francesca Chong and freshman Marina Pappas, who have one goal apiece. Pappas assisted on Chong’s goal. Goalkeeper Madeline Gannon has saved 13 shots and allowed nine goals in four contests. USF leads the all-time series with FIU 3-2-1.
