(August 17, 2006) - The University of South Floridamen's soccer team has been recognized by "Soccer America" earning aranking of No. 9 in the publication's Preseason Top 25 Poll, asannounced today. The Bulls finished 2005 with a 13-6-2 record, includingwins over No. 3 St. John's (1-0 on Oct. 15), No. 16 Seton Hall (3-2 inOT on Sept. 16) and No. 21 Georgetown (3-1 on Sept. 18), while claimingthe 2005 BIG EAST Red Division title last season.Picked to win the Red Division in 2006, USF returns 10 starters,including Preseason All-BIG EAST selections Rodrigo Hidalgo, JordanSeabrook and Yohance Marshall. Three teams from the BIG EAST arerepresented in this year's preseason poll - No. 8 Connecticut, No. 9 USFand No. 10 Notre Dame.USF will kick off its 2006 campaign on Aug. 25 with a road contestversus in-state rival FIU.
