NICKEL BATTLE: Defensive back remains a deep competition, and first-year safeties coach Troy Douglas said sophomore Carlton Williams has an edge on fellow sophomore Tyller Roberts to be the nickel defensive back.

"Tyller's got a little more explosive speed, but Carlton is so knowledgeable," Douglas said. "He knows the defense, and that's the difference between the two guys."
