It is his job to lose. Grothe will play mop up for the first 2(maybe 3) games. If Julmiste plays consistent he will remain the starter, but when he slips up (slip=more than just one INT or fumble) then Grothe will take the reigns from there.I have faith in Julmiste, but I realize Grothe is better and is the future.Whoever can get us the W is who should play.GO BULLS!!! Guest
For McNees & FIU ... I think you will see something like in the Spring game, with Julmiste starting and alternating drives with Grothe. Both QBs getting time with tirst string and the upper level of the 2nd string (the reserves who give the starters a spell - mostly WRs, TEs, and RBs.)Otherwise, Grothe's job will be to handoff to the backup RBs. That isn't much experience.Grant Gregory will also get some snaps in the 2nd half of these games -- maybe the more than just the 4th quarter depending on the lead. Gregory will run with the 2nd and 3rd stringers.Just a guess, but this seems like it would be the better way to go to see which QB is the best for the UCF game and so on. Look at last year. When another QB threw an int, Pat came in and threw three and he stayed in the game. :'(

Kinds of sums PJ up.... "you have seen pj play his game experience is horrible now if you tell me that matt grothe isnt qb for future i say go to #3 grant greogry if not him number #4 if they all fail go back to pj if matt grothe is in fact qb of future like most seem to think.give him majority of reps and the helm and let him play.he needs game experience and yes i relaize there will be growing pain but we gotta do it sooner or later we may catch lightening in a bottle like wv did with white last year "
