Bulls close to filling gaps on defensive line

Published August 13, 2006

TAMPA - With USF's starting linebackers set for this season, defensive coordinator Wally Burnham is also confident he has found two ends after losing four linemen to graduation and transfer Frank Harry to homesickness.

Burnham said sophomore Josh Julmiste and redshirt freshman George Selvie will start at the ends, though he is concerned about the tackles.

"It's still early, so we don't really have any standouts yet,' Burnham said Saturday.

Burnham said candidates for tackles include senior Tavarious Robinson, who had 20 tackles and 11/2 sacks in 2005, and junior Allen Cray. Also in the mix is Florida transfer Julian Riley.
