USF Hires Trainer With NFL Background

TAMPA, FLA. (August 11, 2006) – Keith Abrams, who has experience working in the NFL with Kansas City and Tampa Bay, has been named associate athletics trainer and director of rehabilitation, assistant athletics director for sports medicine Steve Walz said today.

Abrams was most recently the assistant trainer and director of rehabilitation for the Kansas City Chiefs, beginning in 2002. Prior to that, Abrams was head trained for the New York/New Jersey franchise in the XFL, and he had been an assistant trainer with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1997-2000.

Abrams replaces Robb Duncanson, who was hired at the University of Tennessee.
