Something to be grateful for

It has been a while since I have been on this site, I have been working in Hawaii and had the opportunity to bring my wife over last week without the kids. Last Wednesday we were called that our house in Palm Harbor had burned down. Lucky my kids were not there but we lost all 3 of our cats. We are now staying in a hotel in Oldsmar and in the process of renting a house while we figure out what to do with ours. People have been so generous to us and for that I am grateful. By stroke of luck I had not paid my Bulls Club fee so my tickets were still at the school and Eric was kind enough to grab them and send them to a new address. We lost everything (all my Bulls stuff including lucky hat) but still have each other. The point of this post is not to gain sympathy but to say how nice it was to get on this site and read about the Bulls and how anxious I am for that first game to take our mind off of things for a few hours. The other reason for the post is to reiterate how all in all people are kind and caring and giving, it is beyond belief at times and very easy to lose sight of given the current news of the day.

These are issues far bigger than football or message boards.  Don't forget the strong arms around you, be they family, close friends, or fellow Bulls fans.  Thankfully you and your family are safe, other than the cats the rest can all be replaced.
