Real Salt Lake ends United's 14-game unbeaten streakAP

SALT LAKE CITY -- Jeff Cunningham scored twice on penalty kicks in the game's final minutes to give Real Salt Lake a 2-1 win over D.C. United on Saturday night.

Real Salt Lake (5-10-5) ended its two-game winless streak and snapped United's 14-game unbeaten stretch. It was the first loss for D.C. United (13-2-6) since May 6 at Colorado.

Cunningham's first penalty kick came in the 90th minute after D.C. United's John Wilson took down Mehdi Ballouchy in the penalty box. Salt Lake was given another penalty kick when Wilson was called for another foul, this time against Chris Klein, three minutes into stoppage time.

D.C. United's Jaime Moreno scored in the 36th minute. It was his 10th goal of the season and 104th of his career, leaving him just two behind Salt Lake's Jason Kreis for the MLS all-time mark.
