Marvin Peoples Receives NCAA Waiver; Eligble Immediately at USF

TAMPA, FLA. (August 2, 2006) – Marvin Peoples, a 6-2, 230-pound linebacker who transferred to USF this summer from Maryland, has been granted a waiver of the NCAA transfer rule mandating a player sit out one season. Peoples, who graduated from Apopka High School in 2005, will now be eligible to play for the Bulls immediately.

Peoples spent one season at Maryland and utilized a redshirt before opting to transfer to be closer to his ill mother.

Wow, and Greg said that two hardship waivers in one season was impossible!

Its good to see the NCAA is being realistic in helping the good kids out who are not just leaving because of attitude and PT.

GO BULLS!!!

Have there been any waivers requested for this year that haven't been approved yet?

This is Great and really assures the RSing of the newcomers.

This also will give him more time on the field to push for playing time in 2007.

He has used his RS year at Maryland already. He will be a back up for the starters this year.
